The “Atmosphere” project by ALL in | Studio a small and flexible studio for architecture, interior and product design in Bulgaria- revolves around the concept of LIGHT. According to the project developer, “light influences our well-being, the aesthetic effect and the mood of a room or area.
This morbid lamp was created by design studio Enpieza located in Spain. The Colgao (“hung” in Spanish) is hanging from the top horizontal rod of the lamp.
Once in a while you will come across a gadget that is so wacky, not sharing it with the rest would be tantamount to sinning. The Desktop Grenade Lamp that is a lovely combination of two ideas pulling the grenade’s pin will turn the lamp on instead of resulting in a deadly explosion.
The kits include everything you need to make these cool designer fixtures except for the bulbs themselves. A special bulb marking template, adhesive and “snaps” let you arrange your bulbs into a variety of cool shapes and sizes, including desk lamps and hanging fixtures.
The Memento lamp was designed by Hiroshi Yoneya and Yumi Masuko for design collective Tonerico. At this point, it looks like it’s is only available in Japan.
Provide lighting for safety and security on the exterior of your home: Walkways, sidewalks, perimeter of your house, and the front entry should be lit with ambient lighting. Too dim of lighting on the exterior is a welcome sign for intruders.
These fixtures are subtle and can be directional, and can be connected to dimmer switches to give a range of light from subtly dim to full brightness to illuminate an entire room.
Fiat Lux Lamp is the latest product from Cate Hogdahl & Nelson Ruiz-Acal and is under production and will soon be launched ! Fiat Lux means “let there be light”, but from these pictures the lamp is not a marvelous source of light.
The Troja Arc Lamp is a really big lamp, than can provide a high quality light for a very large space. The design is simple and modern, but if you want this lamp you’ll need some space, because she is quite big as you can see.
The Duck Lamp was created by Sebastian Errazuriz and is a really strange and creepy lamp. The lamp isn’t for sale, I think that this design will remain just a design because I don’t see people buying something like this. As a design is unique and interesting but this lamp only purpose is to scare off your friends and family too, but who know’s maybe there are people who like this design.
In formal living and dining areas, research chandeliers wisely: In spaces that a formal chandelier is considered, choose one that will not date your space. Often time’s chandeliers are bought without thinking of the space and the décor that surrounds it.
Roly-Poly comes from designer Jung Jae Yup and is one of the most playful lamp design we’ve seen. The project is also known as “Zen”, probably because it takes a strong meditative state for one not to be provoked into playing with this lamp.
There’s something just so right about the design of this minimal lighting fixture from Japan. While it sits there on your tabletop, it casts a dramatic shadow of numeric shapes across the surface of your desk and walls.
At first this looks just like a mild-mannered table lamp (except for the fact that it’s almost six feet tall), but open it up and you’ll see a tiny table lamp sitting on a table. It’s like those Russian nesting dolls. The most surprising aspect of this design is its price, $3,888.
Subtle elegance fills the space that each piece of lighting is occupying. Ribbons made from metal gracefully shroud the supporting structure made from thin metal bars that each have a light bulb at the end.
