LULL is a lamp that opens and closes like a flower. In the evening the lamp gives a warm glow, to give a feeling of safety while it slowly turns itself off.
I really love these 2D designs. You can stick your lamp anywhere you want. You are no longer restricted by the traditional delimma of sticking it on a table or the floor.
Whether you are trying to light your cutting surface in your kitchen or you’re trying to beautify your foyer, pendant lights work beautifully. Also, consider using pendant lights in kid’s rooms for their desk area or to illuminate a play area.
The $139 price tag is rather steep IMHO, but then again good ideas are hard to come by, and when they do, they are rarely cheap.
One of the lighting trends for 2016 is Lamps Plus’ “upgraded industrial”. According to a company press release, “the warehouse-inspired-movement-cum-mainstream design staple is seeing a bit of refinement.” Look for modern industrial lighting featuring rich tones and alternative metals.

The lamp looks very simple except for the tasteless, hanging anthropomorphic figure. Either the designers were fresh out of ideas or they are into black humor.
