ZGI contributes 2.5% of its gross profits to philanthropy, and ZGI’ philanthropic efforts span the globe.

Operation REACH, Inc. (United States)
Operation REACH, Inc. partners with ZGI as a part of their Gulfsouth Youth BioDiesel Project. This project allows young adults ages 14 to 25 learn how to turn raw organic materials into eco-friendly alternative fuels. Participants in the program learn leadership, business savvy, and the mechanics, chemistry, and engineering used in alternative fuel production. ZGI shares its technical expertise with Operation REACH and has also committed to purchase the biodiesel it produces.

Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan)
ZGI supports the efforts of the Aga Khan Foundation in Pakistan. The Aga Kahn Foundation is a non-denominational, non-governmental development agency that focuses its resources on issues related to health, education, rural development, and the strengthening of civil society.

The University of Texas (United States)
ZGI provided financial support for the endowment of a Chair in Pakistan Studies at The University of Texas, Austin. This ensures that Pakistan is a focal area of study in the coming years at the world-renowned South Asia Institute at The University of Texas. The Chair in Pakistan Studies encourages research on the geo-political importance of Pakistan and its history, culture, and literature.

Zindagi Trust (Pakistan)
ZGI provides financial support for the efforts of the Zindagi Trust, a non-profit philanthropic organization that provides quality education to underprivileged children in Pakistan. The Zindagi Trust is also committed to promoting school reform and improving the educational curriculum and system in Pakistan.

Farmers’ Initiative Program (India and Africa)
ZGI provides financial support to the Farmers Initiative Program in India and Africa. The Farmers’ Initiative Program provides technical expertise and financial support for farmers who are beginning to grow non-food biofuel feedstock. The Farmers’ Initiative Program also supports the farmers by guaranteeing to purchase their biofuel feedstock.
